Our leadership team is one of the best in the landscaping industry.
Craig Attkisson has been in the landscaping business since he was 10 years old and mowing baseball and soccer fields. Over the years he has added to his extensive experience with degrees in Turfgrass and Horticulture from Virginia Tech. His research and work experiences brought him to South Africa, Country Club of Virginia golf courses, and finally to the decision to launch his own landscaping company. He wants to give customers the best possible lawn care they can get.
Bill Gallagher partnered with Craig, bringing with him heavy equipment skills, a degree in Agronomy from Virginia Tech, and experience renovating Manakin Golf Course.
Jim Gallagher also worked on golf course construction. He has a degree in Turf Maintenance from Virginia Tech and was the Vice-President of a residential/commercial landscaping company before coming to Green Side Up.
Mike Atkinson joined the Green Side Up team in 2012 as a foreman. Today, he understands the business inside and out, and he serves as our RVA Maintenance Production Manager. He has a passion for plant care and pruning, and we are fortunate to have his expertise.
Eric Thacker is a rare gem in this industry. He is our Williamsburg Landscape install & Maintenance, production manager. His passion for the green industry is evident daily.
